Geely launches a new model resembling the Panamera! Priced at only 125,800 yuan, it sold 120,000 units in just 31 days.
Geely Galaxy Starlight 8 has gone viral across the internet lately. For just 130,000 yuan, you get a C-class coupe with eye-catching frameless doors. It’s widely regarded as a perfect pick for family use.
It has not only broken the sales dominance of joint-venture B-segment sedans, but also created a sensational trend known as the “Chinese Panamera” in the market.

This car is truly eye-catching at first glance. It features a fastback design and frameless doors. The interior is fully wrapped in soft materials with no cheap feel. The cabin looks spacious, while the rear light strip and lower bumper deliver a strong visual impact.

In terms of dimensions, the car measures 5,018 mm in length, 1,918 mm in width and boasts a wheelbase of 2,928 mm, rivaling the Audi A6L in specifications.
Beyond its generous size, Geely Galaxy Starlight 8 adopts a well-proportioned fastback design that balances style with practicality for headroom and trunk space. Even passengers standing 180 cm tall will not feel cramped in the rear seats.
The interior is extensively trimmed with soft materials and suede headliner, while the seats are wrapped in genuine leather. Every surface you touch delivers a premium texture and upscale visual appeal, doing away with the cheap plastic-heavy look of older models.
It is equipped with a 10.2-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch floating central screen, creating a luxurious and tech-rich cabin. Notably, the vehicle features a 23-speaker sound system tuned by Devialet, delivering audio performance comparable to a mobile opera house and offering an immersive listening experience for all occupants.
The high-end variants stand out with the Qianli Haohan intelligent driving system. Integrated with LiDAR, millimeter-wave radars and 6 cameras, it supports NOA navigation assisted driving, automatic parking and L2+ advanced driver assistance systems, handling daily urban traffic with ease.

In terms of power performance, the EM-P variant is equipped with a 1.5T engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a peak torque of 605 N·m and a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 6.49 seconds. The EM-i version focuses on energy efficiency: its actual fuel consumption in charge-depleting mode is as low as 2.9–3.4 L/100km, with an overall CLTC range reaching 1,600 kilometers. This powertrain fully caters to both daily commutes and occasional long-distance trips between cities.

When the commanding presence reminiscent of the Panamera comes to a plug-in hybrid sedan priced at around 150,000 yuan, everything takes on a whole new dimension.
Can Galaxy Starshine 8 continue its success and evolve into another iconic model for families? This question is on many buyers’ minds. Faced with this high-spec, budget-friendly domestic bestseller, would you choose to buy it readily, or remain loyal to joint-venture and luxury brands?
The choice of the era is now yours. What will you decide? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
